The Malaysia OIC Trade Chamber has made a step forward with the holding of a historic meeting between Malaysian and United Arab Emirates (UAE) businessmen in the month of April. The meeting was a successful event with businessmen from both countries interacting to better understand the importance of expanding intra-trade among OIC nations.

Malaysia’s Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi urged members of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) to seek knowledge in the science and technology field in a bid to eradicate poverty and to create wealth and capacity building. He added OIC countries were still lacking in the economic and social sectors due to their failure in acquiring the necessary knowledge.
